Debra provides counselling services tailored to your needs, utilizing grief therapy, art therapy and emotional freedom techniques to support you through life's challenges, especially with grief and loss and non-death loss.

Debra has many years of experience in health as a former registered nurse, aromatherapist and currently as a Counsellor and Art Therapist. She has worked across Australia in various settings, including schools, doctors' offices, and telehealth and presently in private practice for several years. Having experienced grief & loss including many types of non-death loss, Debra has lived experience so understands deep pain and sorrow.

No fancy artwork. No need for an artistic background. Engaging in art therapy allows for self-expression through making marks on paper or creating 3D works. This process can be particularly beneficial in grief & loss, helping individuals navigate their emotions without the need to talk.

Pain is real and needs to be heard and validated. Engaging in art-making or utilizing emotional freedom techniques can be incredibly beneficial. Expressing emotions and feelings and being truly listened to is paramount, especially in the context of deep pain and stress.

The Emotional Freedom Technique, often referred to as emotional acupuncture, offers a unique approach to healing - using your fingers and hands. This method can be integrated with art-making practices and utilized in all forms of counselling.

Grief is a complex emotional response to loss, encompassing feelings of sadness, anger, and confusion. Grief and loss is real when we have lost our beloved dog.
